What better location for a lazy afternoon Cocktail or glass of Fizz than Princes Square? In the heart of Glasgow, just off Buchanan Street this stunning venue hosts a bewildering array of shops and restaurants, so competition is pretty fierce for custom.
Tucked away at the back of the second floor, just past Zizzi's, Barca can be easily missed, but it is there. The wife and I arrived in that grey area of late afternoon where lunch is well over and pre-theatre dinner has yet to begin.
There are tables inside, but also out on the balcony around the glazed courtyard, which is light and bright and airy and could easily fool you into thinking you are outside, except its dry, not windy, and there is no-one smoking next to you.
We went inside to order some drinks and the female bar person invited to take a seat and she would be over to take an order. We sat on a nice table and browsed the cocktail menu, finally settling on a Flirtini (Her) and a Bombay Sapphire and Lemonade (Me) .
We waited for the bar person, waited a bit longer and waited some more. After 18 minutes (yes I timed it) we got up and went to Rogano instead.
That is all I have to say about that.
